'Devara' clears censor formalities, to make a splash at Beyond Fest 2024. (X)
Telugu actor Jr NTR’s highly anticipated action drama, Devara: Part 1, is set to make a global impact. The film is gearing up for its worldwide theatrical release on 27 September. Meanwhile, it will be showcased at the prestigious Beyond Fest 2024 in Los Angeles, USA.
The Koratala Siva directorial will be screened at the iconic Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood on 26 September, marking its debut at the highest-attended genre film festival in the city. The film’s theatrical trailer, released recently, has garnered positive feedback from fans and cinephiles alike.
Devara: Part 1 completed its censor review. It received a UA certificate with four suggested cuts from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Three of the cuts were related to violent scenes, while the fourth involved inserting a CGI mark for a shark visual.
Following this, the makers of Devara made minor alterations to the suggested scenes to comply with the censor guidelines, ensuring that the impact of the shots remains intact. The revised runtime of Devara: Part 1 is now approximately 177 minutes and 58 seconds ie., two hours and 57 minutes.
The Jr NTR film boasts a star-studded cast, including Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. Produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Mikkilineni Sudhakar, and Kosaraju Hari Krishna, Devara: Part 1 is backed by a high budget and features a captivating soundtrack composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

Meanwhile, the film already crossed the $1-million mark at the North American box office through pre-sales alone This makes it the first Indian film to enter the prestigious $1 million club before its trailer debut.
The phenomenal pre-sales success is a testament to Jr NTR’s dedicated fanbase, which expanded since the international acclaim of RRR (2022), directed by SS Rajamouli.
Further, with over 55 million views, the trailer for Devara: Part 1 is currently trending at the No. 1 position on YouTube, further fueling excitement for the upcoming project.
