'GOAT' trailer takes internet by storm. (X)
The breathtaking trailer for Thalapathy Vijay’s The Greatest of All Time (GOAT) has taken the internet by storm. Within an hour of its launch, the trailer garnered over one million real-time views.
The trailer boasts several high-octane action sequences, which Vijay pulled off with ease. It also has an impressive CGI work.
The GOAT trailer features Vijay fighting anti-social elements inside a moving train and doing incredible stunts in the air using parachutes. He is also shown as the saviour of the nation.
The dual role of Vijay as father and son catches the fancy of the fans as the makers used the de-ageing technique to showcase a young Vijay.
The GOAT trailer also introduces other major actors in the film, including Sneha, Laila, Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Jayaram, Mohan, and Ajmal Amir.
Earlier, the makers launched two songs from GOAT which, however, received criticism from netizens. They felt that Yuvan Shankar Raja failed to score rocking tunes for the film. They also compared the tunes with that of Anirudh Ravichander.
Vijay’s look in the “Spark” song was trolled on social media. Similarly, the netizens felt that the “Whistle Podu” song lacked the pace required for a fast number.
In the “Chinna Chinna Kangal” song, the makers used the AI-generated voice of the late playback singer Bhavatharini. Also, Vijay lent his voice to the track.
