Actor Vishal criticised Chennai's local administration for the mismanagement that worsened the situation in the city in the city.

Chennai is reeling under torrential rain triggered by the severe cyclone Michaung. The city did not limp back to normalcy even on the second day.

On Monday, 4 December, actor Rahman shared the horrifying visuals of the flood from his apartment. In his video, cars were seen floating and getting swept away in the flood water.

Actor Kaniha also shared a picture from her apartment saying that the only way to safety was to evacuate.

Meanwhile, actor Vishal criticised Chennai’s local administration for the mismanagement that resulted in the worsening of the situation.

The actor felt sorry as the system did not learn anything from the 2015 Chennai floods.

Aamir Khan too rescued

On Tuesday, 5 December, actor Vishnu Vishal put up a post on X saying that water was entering his house in Karapakkam and the level was rising badly. He added that there was no signal for his mobile and had called for help.

Hours later, the actor posted another picture and thanked the Tamil Nadu government, and the fire and rescue department for helping people who were stranded in the flood water.

In the picture, Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan and Vishnu Vishal’s wife and badminton player Jwala Gutta were spotted.

“Rescue operations have started in Karapakkam..Saw 3 boats functioning already. Great work by the TN govt in such testing times. Thanks to all the administrative people who are working relentlessly. (sic),” he wrote.

According to reports, Aamir Khan decided to shift his base to Chennai as his mother was under treatment at a private medical centre in Chennai. The actor, who is close to his mother, wants to be by her side as she is unwell.
