It was initially planned to be released in December but was pushed back due to delays in shooting.

The makers planned massive promotions for Pathu Thala, including a grand audio launch in early March. AR Rahman scored the music.

Agilan, the first solo release of Jayam Ravi this year, is scheduled to be released on 10 March.

Directed by N Kalyanakrishnan, the action thriller also features Priya Bhavani Sankar, Harish Uthaman, and Tanya Ravichandran in key roles.
