Premalu Tamil version

Malayalam superhit movie Premalu is all set to hit the theatres in Tamil Nadu. The Tamil dubbed version will be released on 15 March.

The release of the Tamil version piques the interest of the Tamil audience, especially since the Malayalam movie Manjummel Boys has recently created history in Tamil Nadu by earning over ₹30 crore at the box office.

On Wednesday, 13 March, the makers launched the Tamil trailer of the film.

The movie is distributed in Tamil by Red Giant Movies, owned by actor-politician Udayanidhi Stalin.

Interestingly, the Malayalam version of Premalu itself did good business in the state.

Also, it grossed over ₹100 crore worldwide on its 31st day. This is a major victory for the makers as the film was made on a budget of less than ₹20 crore.

It is the fifth Malayalam movie to enter the ₹100-crore club. The previous ones are Pulimurukan (2017), Lucifer (2019), 2018: Everyone is a Hero (2023), and Manjummel Boys (2024).

Starring Naslen and Mamitha Baiju in the lead, Premalu is a pure entertainer.

Set against the backdrop of Hyderabad city, the film also won the hearts of the Telugu audience and is minting money at the Telugu box office.

Several Tollwood celebrities, including directors SS Rajamouli and Anil Ravipudi, applauded the Telugu version.

Rajamouli’s son SS Karthikeya bought the Telugu rights of Premalu.

Telugu Superstar Mahesh Babu also appreciated the movie saying he hasn’t seen such a comedy movie for a long time.
