Social media influencer and character artiste Asha Borra, who played a small role in Vijay Deverakonda-starrer The Family Star, lashed out at the team for the injustice she was meted out to.
She said everyone, from the assistant director to the casting director, kept calling her. “Eventually, they wasted my time and their time,” she wrote in the post.
Asha Borra wondered if there was a shortage of junior artistes in Tollywood or if the team decided to cash in on social media influencers.
She poured out her woes saying she came to the sets despite not being healthy. There was not a single dialogue for her in the entire runtime, she pointed out.
Asha Borra said the production team did not bother to provide remuneration, travelling expenses, and hotel. She said she knew she would be tagged controversial if she questioned all such things. However, netizens started reacting and sharing her post and vouched for her.
Telugu audiences expected that The Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur, would create a sensation at the box office.
