Academy Award-winning composer AR Rahman is all set to release a single track — titled Namma Satham — from upcoming-film Pathu Thala, on Friday, 3 February. Sources reveal that Rahman himself has sung the song.
Pathu Thala, starring Silambarasan, Gautham Karthik, and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead roles, is set to hit the big screens on 30 March. The film is co-produced by Pen Studios.
While fans are eagerly waiting for Ponniyin Selvan 2‘s album to be released, the ace composer took to social media to inform his fans that the delay is due to additional songs being included in the album.
Post Ponniyin Selvan 2, Rahman’s most anticipated project is the tentatively titled film KH 234, which will see Kamal Haasan in the lead and Mani Ratnam in the director’s seat.

Recently, Rahman held a concert in Malaysia to celebrate 30 years in the film music industry. He was joined by top Malaysian singer Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin.
The concert was attended by Malaysia’s prime minister, communications minister, and the Indian high commissioner.
Singers Shweta Mohan and Hariharan, and percussionist Sivamani — popularly known as Drums Sivamani — performed as part of Rahman’s troupe.

The film, directed by Deekay, features Aggarwal, Regina Cassandra, Janani, Raiza Wilson, and Indian-Iranian actor Noyrika.
The trailer shows Regina discovering a book that predicts the future and introduces the other actors in eerie scenes.
The female led-movie also includes Kalaiyarasan, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, John Vijay, Sha Ra, and Lollu Sabha Manohar.
The trailer was released on Monday, 30 January, by actor Vijay Sethupathi.
Produced by PaVe Entertainments, the film falls under the genre of horror and tells the story of five characters whose lives collide.
The film was shot in Chennai, Udumalaipettai, and Pollachi, and has music by SN Prasad.
