Dr Shiva Rajkumar will be seen in a cameo appearance in his daughter, Niveditha Shiva Rajkumar’s maiden production venture— 'Fire Fly'.

Kannada Superstar Dr Shiva Rajkumar, who is basking in the success of his latest release Ghost (2023), will soon be seen in a cameo role in the debut production venture of his younger daughter Niveditha Shiva Rajkumar.
Her maiden production, titled Fire Fly is directed by Vamshi, who also plays the lead character in the film.
Shiva Rajkumar recently did a cameo in the Tamil super hit film Jailer (2023) featuring Superstar Rajinikanth. The cameo along with Malayalam actor Mohanlal was widely appreciated and surprised everyone, including his fans.
According to a little birdie in the Kannada film industry, Shiva Rajkumar already wrapped up the shoot of his role in Fire Fly.
“Shiva Rajkumar will appear on the screen for just a few seconds in the film. It will certainly surprise everyone with the kind of character he has portrayed in Fire Fly. Almost half the portion of the film’s shooting has been completed with another half to be wrapped in January,” the birdie said.
Fire Fly is a mix of multiple genres made in an artistic form rather than keeping commercial elements in focus.

Geetha Pictures, the production banner of Dr Shiva Rajkumar and his better half Geetha Shiva Rajkumar, is involved in big-budget commercial ventures.
Vedha (2022) was made under Geetha Pictures. Its upcoming venture featuring Dr Shiva Rajkumar is titled Bhairathi Ranagal directed by Narthan. It is the prequel to his 2017 Kannada film Mufti.
Fire Fly is being made by Shiva Rajkumar’s daughter Niveditha under her banner “Shri Mutthu Cine Services”.
Niveditha ventured into content creation by producing a serial and three web series — Honey Moon, By Mistake, and Hate You Romeo.
According to the makers, Fire Fly is about the journey of a young man in his 20s.
Vamshi previously worked as assistant director for Mayabazar 2016 (2020), a comedy thriller from late Puneeth Rajkumar’s PRK Productions. Charan Raj has composed the music for Fire Fly and Abhilash Kallathi is the cinematographer.
Meanwhile, Shiva Rajkumar will be seen in the multilingual Tamil film Captain Miller starring alongside Dhanush, which is slated for release in January 2024.
His other films, including Karataka Dhamanaka, Bhairathi Ranagal, and 45, are in the pipeline.
