Sandra Thomas malayalam producer

South Indian actress Samyuktha has been facing criticism after actor Shine Tom Chacko and producers of her upcoming movie, Boomerang, lashed out at her for not turning up for the promotions.

Meanwhile, rumours are agog that Samyuktha won’t act in Malayalam films again but would only do big-budget films. Despite these rumours and criticism pouring in from some actors and social media trolls, the actress didn’t respond.

However, actor-producer Sandra Thomas has a different story to tell about Samyuktha. Sandra produced Edakkad Battalion (2019), starring Tovino Thomas and Samyuktha, which didn’t do well at the box office. It’s directed by Swapnesh K Nair.

In a Facebook post, Sandra Thomas said that Samyukta didn’t accept her full remuneration as the film didn’t do well at the box office.

“We could only pay 65 per cent of the remuneration to Samyukta. I asked her to give me some time for full payment. But two days after the release, Samyuktha messaged me saying that she doesn’t need the rest of the money,” she recalled.

“Samyuktha also stated that she knows about the poor business of the movie and promised to do another movie with me later,” Sandra Thomas wrote.

In her post, Sandra said Samyuktha is unlike those actors who demand full payment even before the dubbing and promotional activities of a film begin.
