Salaar day 1 collections

As audiences are just a few days away from witnessing the Salaar juggernaut at the box office, trade pundits predict that superstar Prabhas is likely to create a storm on the release day of 22 December.

The fact that the ticket sales have already begun in a few states reflects the eager anticipation of the audience for the pan-India film.

Even though ticket bookings for Salaar in the Telugu states have not opened yet, the counters in Karnataka and Kerala are already opened and the theatres are set to screen local Kannada and Malayali versions of Salaar alongside the Telugu and Hindi versions.

With Prithviraj Sukumaran as another lead and Prashanth Neel as the director, Salaar is generating immense excitement in the two states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Reports suggest that the advance bookings have already broken records, making it the most anticipated Christmas release with an expected massive opening day.

The makers are likely to bag record-shattering collections when ticket counters open in Hindi and Telugu regions.

Previously, films like Baahubali 2 (2017) achieved a staggering ₹210+ crore gross on the first day itself and Saaho (2019) clocked ₹120+ crore.

It still remains uncertain as to where Salaar will position itself in terms of first-day figures. It is estimated that Salaar is made with a budget of ₹400 crore.

The film is produced by Hombale Films and Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire is the first part of a pan-India film series.

According to reports, Prabhas received a remuneration of ₹100 crore for his role in Salaar, excluding 10 percent from the profits.
