Prabhas-starrer ‘Salaar’ gets ‘A’ certificate

An action drama, 'Salaar' will be released in two parts. The first part titled 'Salaar: Part 1— Ceasefire' will hit the theatres on 22 December.

The long wait of the fans of Rebel Star Prabhas is finally over. His upcoming movie Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire has been given an “A” certificate by the Censor Board of Film Certification because of the violence portrayed in the film.

Hombale Films, the production house behind the action-packed film, shared the announcement on X on Monday, 11 December.

The makers urged the fans to brace themselves for an intense action drama.

Salaar also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in a significant role. The action drama is scheduled for a theatrical release on 22 December.

Sharing the announcement, the production house wrote: “Censor done for #SalaarCeaseFire Get ready for an intense ‘A’ction drama in cinemas from December 22nd (sic).”

Salaar will be released in two parts. The first part titled Salaar: Part 1— Ceasefire will hit theatres in multiple languages.

Written and directed by Prashanth Neel, the film will see Prabhas and Prithviraj as Deva/Salaar and Varadha Rajamannar.

The action drama also features Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy, Bobby Simhaa, and Tinnu Anand in supporting roles.
