Nivin Pauly and Dhyan Sreenivasan have teamed up for Malayalee From India, which will hit the theatres on 1 May.

The promotional material of the Malayalam movie, directed by Dijo Jose Antony, gave the impression that the project is a comedy entertainer.

However, the makers released the official teaser of Malayalee From India on Monday, 29 April, which gave a twist to the tale. The teaser changed the assumptions of fans.

The teaser hints that Malayalee From India is a gritty tale with violence and Nivin Pauly’s character shifts abroad for survival.

The teaser also gives the impression that the film has enthralling action scenes. Even the background score is quite different.

Earlier, it was thought that Malayalee From India would be a fun ride with Nivin Paul and Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead.

It is Nivin Pauly’s 43rd film. The actor is joining Dijo Jose Antony. The film is scripted by Sharis Mohammed. Sharis and Dijo Jose worked together for Queen (2018) and Jana Gana Mana (2022).

Malayalee From India has Sudeep Elamon as the cinematographer. The music is scored by Jakes Bejoy. Sreejith Sarang is the editor.

The stellar cast includes Anaswara Rajan, Manju Pillai, Shine Tom Chacko, Salim Kumar, and Vijayakumar.

Nivin’s Pauly Jr Pictures and Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames are jointly producing the flick.

Meanwhile, Nivin Pauly is working on a film with debutant director Aaryan Ramani Girijavallabhavan.

He will also debut on Disney+ Hotstar with the web series Pharma, directed by Finals-fame Arun PR.
