Mohanlal-Lijo Jose Pellissery’s ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’ to release on 25 January 2024

The Lijo Jose Pellissery's directorial will be released worldwide in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Mohanlal’s most hyped movie, Malaikottai Vaaliban is all set for a grand theatrical release.

On Monday, 18 September, marking director Lijo Jose Pellissery’s birthday, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal announced the release date of the film— 25 January 2024.

Malaikottai Vaaliban will have a worldwide release and has garnered the attention of both industry insiders and audiences since Mohanlal and Lijo Jose Pellissery are working together for the first time.

The first look poster of the flick went viral soon after its launch on 14 April. It features Mohanlal in a fiery look and pulling the battling ropes. The actor also sports an iron kada around his neck.

The glimpse video, released on Mohanlal’s birthday (21 May), piqued the interest of the Malayalam audience who have been waiting with bated breath for the release date.

In a video about Malaikottai Vaaliban that surfaced on social media, Mohanlal said, “We have created something never Indian Cinema has seen before.”

He also wished Lijo Jose Pellissery that Malaikottai Vaaliban would be the most important movie in his career.

Malaikottai Vaaliban is produced by John & Mary Creative along with Max Labs, Century Films, and Saregama India Ltd.

The screenplay is written by PS Rafique. After Churuli (2021), Madhu Neelakandan is again handling the camera for Lijo. The music is composed by Prashant Pillai.

Edited by Deepu Joseph, the movie is designed by Ronex Xavier.

It was shot in 130 days in Rajasthan, Chennai, and Pondicherry. It will be released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
