First look of 'Pappachan Olivilaanu' out; new song from 'Sulaikha Manzil' released; Babu Antony joins 'Leo' cast.

Vellaripattanam, the new movie of Manju Warrier-Soubin Shahir, will release on 24 March. Manju Warrier shared this new update via her Facebook page.
The movie was earlier titled Vellarikapattanam. The title of the movie was changed as another film was censored under the name Vellarikka Pattanam.
Vellaripattanam is directed by Mahesh Vettiyar and written by Sarath Krishna who is also the co-scenarist of the film. The movie also casts Shabareesh Varma, Kottayam Ramesh, and Suresh Krishna in important roles.
Saiju Kurup has become a popular actor with his both serious and comedy roles. His performance in the Aadu series, Driving Licence, and Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan was appreciated by the audience.
Meanwhile, the first look poster of Saiju Kurup’s upcoming movie Pappachan Olivilaanu has been launched. The movie is written and directed by debutant Cinto Sunny. It is based on a true incident and is touted to be a feel-good film.
Newcomer Darshan will be the female lead while director Jibu Jacob plays a key role.
The music is composed by Ouseppachan and the cinematography is by Sreejith Nair. It is produced by Thomas Thiruvalla.
After the success of Bheemante Vazhi, writer-director Ashraf Hamza is coming up with Sulaikha Manzil. It is shot in Dubai. The makers have released a song “Jil Jil Jil” from the movie which is trending now.
The music is composed by Vishnu Vijay who earlier scored the super hit songs of Thallumala. The lyrics of “Jil Jil Jil” are penned by Muri and TK Kutyali.
The song celebrates a wedding in Malabar and is sung by Vishnu Vijay, Varsha Ranjith, and Meera Prakash.
Sulaikha Manzil is expected to hit the theatres on Eid. It revolves around a Muslim wedding in Malabar and will have all elements for a festival release.
It features Lukman Awaran, Chemban Vinod Jose, and Anarkali Marakkar in lead roles. Ganapathy, Sabreesh Verma, Mamukoya, Jolly Chirayat, Amalda Lis, Deepa Thomas, Adri Jo, Archana Padmini, and Nirmal Palazhi.
It is produced by Chemban Vinod Jose, Subish Kannanchery, and Sameer Karat under the banner of Chembosky Motion Pictures.
Actor Babu Antony has joined the sets of Leo, a forthcoming film featuring Tamil superstar Vijay. Babu Antony is the second Malayalam actor to join the cast after Mathew Thomas.
The movie is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The shooting is progressing in Kashmir.
Babu Antony acted in over 100 films and did pivotal roles in Tamil movies like Kaaka Muttai and Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa.
On 14 March, the veteran actor shared a birthday party picture with Logesh Kanagaraj. Last week, he posted a photo on Facebook with IM Vijayan, a former footballer whom he met at the airport while travelling to Kashmir.
The actor will be seen sharing the screen space with Vijay and Sanjay Dutt in Leo. The film is produced by Seven Screen Studio and is likely to be released in October.
