Marco to release in South Korea

Unni Mukundan’s action film Marco released ahead of Christmas is doing well at the Malayalam box office. Touted to be the most violent film in Malayalam, the film had garnered an audience outside Kerala too. Owing to the demand, Marco was released in Tamil, and Telugu on Thursday, and Wednesday, 2, and 1 January respectively.

The film is now all set to release in South Korea, becoming the second South Indian movie to do so after SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali.

While the release date is not yet confirmed, the film team claimed that “It was making history by having the biggest opening for an Indian movie in Korea.”

The Instagram post read: “After Bahubali, Marco sets a new Benchmark in the South Indian Film Industry! Making history by having the Biggest Opening for an Indian Movie in Korea!”

Marco

Marco, a spin-off of Mikhael (2019), both directed by Haneef Adeni, once again features Unni Mukundan as an antagonist, as he did alongside Nivin Pauly in the original film.

As promised by the makers, Marco is a treat for those who enjoy violence in their films. With violence at its peak and gory scenes, this movie is not for children and light-hearted people, as it has rightly obtained an “A” certificate.

The ensemble cast of Marco includes Kabir Duhan Singh, Anson Paul, Arjun Nandakumar, Durva Thaker, Yukti Tareja, Abhimanyu Shammy Thilakan, Ishan Shoukath, Siddique, Jagadish and Riyaz Khan, among others.

Chandru Selvaraj handles the cinematography for Marco, with Shameer Muhammed as the editor. KGF-fame Ravi Basrur composes the music.

Marco is produced by Shareef Muhammed and Abdul Gadhaf of Cubes Entertainments, in collaboration with Unni Mukundan Films, the lead actor’s home production company.

Marco is the most violent movie ever made in Malayalam. Unni Mukundan’s swag and stylish filmmaking are the takeaways of the movie with a predictable story,” our review read.
