The motion poster of Tovino Thomas’s long-pending movie, Ajayante Randam Moshanam, has created a buzz on social media.
While unveiling the motion poster, the makers announced that Ajayante Randam Moshanam will be released for Onam in September this year. However, the release date is yet to be confirmed.
The motion poster features Tovino Thomas in different looks. Earlier, we reported that Tovino Thomas will play triple roles in this Malayalam movie. He will appear as Maniyan, Kunjikelu, and Ajayan—each set in different eras: 1900, 1950, and the 1990s.
Ajayante Randam Moshanam marks the debut of Jithin Laal as a director. It is an action-adventure that spans several timelines.
The film was scripted by Sujith Nambiar, with an additional screenplay penned by Deepu Pradeep.
Ajayante Randam Moshanam will also launch Krithi Shetty in the Malayalam film industry. Further, it casts Aishwarya Rajesh, Surabhi Lakshmi, Rohini, Basil Joseph, Jagadish, and Harish Uthaman in key roles.
The movie will be released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi in 2D and 3D formats.
Ajayante Randam Moshanam faced a legal hurdle due to financial fraud allegations. A court order stayed the theatrical release, OTT release, and satellite release of the film.
A person named Vineeth from Kochi filed a petition in the court alleging that the makers took ₹3.20 crore from him under dubious circumstances.
He alleged that he invested the said amount in the film’s production but he was denied ownership rights. Instead, the rights were transferred to another party without his consent.
Following this, the Ernakulam Principal Sub Court issued a stay order. However, the makers announcing that Ajayante Randam Moshanam would be released for Onam only implies that they settled the issue.
Meanwhile, Tovino Thomas is busy with a good number of projects. Some of his much-anticipated films include Narivetta directed by Anuraj Manohar, Identity by Akhil Paul, and Munpe directed by Saiju Sreedharan.
He is also part of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial L2: Empuraan, which will be headlined by Mohanlal. Further, the actor is producing Marana Mass with Basil Joseph in the lead.
