Team 'Narivetta' packs up first schedule. (Instagram)
We have earlier reported that the shooting of Tovino Thomas’s new Malayalam movie, Narivetta, commenced. And now, the team wrapped up the first schedule.
On Tuesday, 7 August, Narivetta director Anuraj Manohar took to social media to announce that the team packed up the first schedule and it went smoothly with the help of all departments.
The filmmaker also shared several working stills, which gave a glimpse into the fun the cast and crew had on the sets during the shooting.
Narivetta marks the debut of Tamil actor-director Cheran in Malayalam cinema. Recently, actor Suraj Venjaramoodu joined the team on the sets.
Apart from Tovino Thomas, Narivetta also stars Arya Salim, Priyamvadha Krishnan, and Rini Udayakumar in key roles.
While announcing the film’s title on 21 July, the makers also shared a poster, which spoke about a riot in a village. It is speculated that the movie is based on real-life events. However, there is no official confirmation on this yet.
The movie was written by Abin Joseph and produced by the Indian Cinema Company.

Anuraj Manohar debuted as a director with Ishq (2019), headlined by Shane Nigam and Ann Sheethal.
Meanwhile, Tovino Thomas is busy with a handful of films. His new project, Avaran, was announced in June this year. The makers launched a motion poster of the film as well.
The movie was written by renowned scenarist Benny P Nayarambalam. It launches Shilpa Alexander as a director. She worked as associate director on Biju Menon’s Padayottam (2018).
Tovino Thoma is also part of Akhil Paul and Anas Khan’s Identity and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s L2: Empuraan, the much-awaited sequel to Lucifer (2019).
His Ajayante Randam Moshanam is expected to be released in September for Onam. The movie faced legal hurdles after a court issued a stay on its release. More updates about the film are awaited.
Meanwhile, Tovino Thomas is producing Marana Mass, starring Basil Joseph in the lead role. The film started rolling in June. He will also work in Saiju Sreedharan’s second directorial Munpe.
