Nazriya Nazim made a grand comeback in Malayalam cinema with Sookshmadarshini, in November 2024. The thriller directed by MC Jithin became a huge hit and received appreciation from critics and audiences alike. Nazriya was last seen in Trance (2020) alongside Fahadh Faasil.

The film is finally available on the OTT platform for a wider audience. It has been streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar since Saturday, 11 January. It is available in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam.

Sharing the update on social media, actor Basil Joseph wrote: “Sookshmadarshini streaming from January 11th on Disney Hotstar.”

Nazriya plays the lead role of Priyadarshini, with Basil Joseph portraying the antagonist.

Priyadarshini embarks on a journey to uncover certain truths, giving the film an investigative feel. However, it’s not a pure investigation. The director and writers carefully crafted the characters to ensure their relevance. Nazriya shines in the lead role, delivering one of the best performances of the year.

The story is written by MC Jithin and Athul Ramachandran. The screenplay is by MC Jithin, Athul Ramachandran, and Libin TB. Christo Xavier is the music director.

The cinematography is handled by Sharan Velayudhan and the editing by Chaman Chacko. Mashar Hamza is the costume designer.

Sookshmadarshini also stars Deepak Parambol, Siddharth Bharathan, Merrin Philp, Akhila Bhargavan, Pooja Mohanraj, Kottayam Ramesh, Gopan Mangat, Manohari Joy, Rini Udayakumar, Jaya Kurup, Muskan Bisaria, Aparna Ram, Abhiram Poduval, Binny Ringi, Nandan Unni, Naushad Ali, Athira Rajeev, and Mirza Fathia in prominent roles.
