Basil Joseph’s ‘Marana Mass’, backed by Tovino Thomas, goes on floors

The tagline of Marana Mass, “Not a Mass Padam”, raised expectations among fans for the flick. It is co-written by director Sivaprasad and Romancham (2023)-fame Siju Sunny. Siju is also playing a key role in the film.

Further, the movie features Rajesh Madhavan and Suresh Krishna in important roles. It is produced under Tovino Thomas’s Tovino Thomas Productions in collaboration with Tingston’s Thanzeer Salam for World Wide Films.

The music is composed by Jay Unnithan and the cinematography is handled by Neeraj Revi. RDX (2023)-fame Chaman Chacko is the editor.

Basil Joseph was recently seen in Vipin Das’s Guruvayoor Ambala Nadayil, where he shared the screen with Prithviraj Sukumaran.

His upcoming films include Jeethu Joseph’s Nunakuzhi, Jithin Laal’s Ajayante Randam Moshanam starring Tovino in the lead, Sreeraj Sreenivasan’s Pravinkoodu Shappu, and production designer Jothish Shankar’s directorial debut.

On the other hand, Tovino Thomas’s new project, Avaran, was announced on 16 June. A motion poster of the film was also released along with the announcement.

Avaran is written by renowned scenarist Benny P Nayarambalam. It is helmed by debutante director Shilpa Alexander, who worked as associate director for Biju Menon’s Padayottam (2018).

Tovino is also part of Akhil Paul and Anas Khan’s Identity and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s L2: Empuraan.
