The poster of Shabeer Kallarakkal from the upcoming Malayalam movie Kondal featured the actor in a fierce look. The Kondal poster has Shabeer Kallarakkal in the backdrop and a huge ship sea in the foreground, suggesting that he is also part of the gang the movie revolves around.
He was last seen in Dulquer Salman’s King of Kotha (2023). His character in the film received huge applause from the audience.
Shabeer Kallarakkal was recently roped in for Tamil filmmaker AR Murugadoss’s ambitious project with actor Sivakarthikeyan, tentatively titled SKxARM. The film also features Vikranth, Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, and Rukmini Vasanth in prominent roles.
Earlier, team Kondal released the poster of Kannada actor Raj B Shetty from the film, with the same ship in the foreground.
The film’s teaser showcased Antony Varghese Pepe performing some stunning action sequences aboard the ship in the middle of a rough sea.
The teaser hinted that Kondal will be based on the lives of people in coastal areas and also promised an action entertainer.
Kondal is expected to regale Antony Varghese Pepe’s fans with some high-octane stunts and edge-of-the-seat moments. This is his first film as a solo hero. Pratibha is debuting as the female lead. Goutami Nair will appear in a prominent role.
Kondal is helmed by debutant Ajit Mampally and produced by Weekend Blockbusters. Antony Varghese teamed up with the production house for the second time after their megahit film RDX (2023).
The crew completed the shooting in April after an intense 96-day schedule. They also filmed some crucial scenes in the sea for over 70 days.
The art department erected a 20-foot shark model and a 100-foot boat in Kureepuzha in Kollam last year for this revenge drama.
Kondal has action scenes choreographed by Vikram More, who worked on KGF: Chapter 1 (2019) and Kantara (2022). Deepak D Menon is the cinematographer and Sam CS is the music director.
The film will hit the screens worldwide for Onam on 13 September.
