Parvathy Thiruvothu shares BTS photos from Ullozhukku sets

The Malayalam film Ullozhukku, headlined by Urvashi and Parvathy Thiruvothu, is enjoying a good run in theatres across Kerala.

As the movie has been declared a hit, actor Parvathy took to social media to share some behind-the-scenes (BTS) photos from the sets of Ullozhukku.

The photos featured her co-stars Urvashi and Arjun Radhakrishnan and film director Christo Tomy.

In her Facebook post, Parvathy Thiruvothu stated that the team had fun while working on the film and revealed that her “fav is the pic with Urvashi chechi.”

In another post, she shared two BTS photos of her Ullozhukku co-actor Prasant Murali. She captioned it: “Thiomaskutty, shall we start a mutual forgiveness club?”

Ullozhukku is an emotional drama set in a flooded Kuttanad in Alappuzha. It featured Parvathy as the protagonist (Anju) and Urvashi as her mother-in-law (Leelamma).

Prasant Murali portrayed the role of Thomaskutty, the husband of Parvathy’s Anju. Alencier Ley Lopez played a prominent character.

The movie, written and directed by Christo Tomy, was released on 21 June. It opened to rave reviews and evoked a warm response from audiences.

Christo Tomy, in an interview with South First, said he thought Parvathy Thiruvothu was perfect for Anju’s role. “She (Parvathy) was excited when she was told that Urvashi chechi would play her mother-in-law in the film.”

The filmmaker stated that he had a dream cast for his first feature film.

The script was the soul of Ullozhukku. All the characters, including Leelamma, Anju, Thomas (Anju’s father), and Jiji (Anju’s mother), are quite relatable.

The Malayalam movie boasted powerful performances by Urvashi and Parvathy. The unique combo left a mark on the viewers.

Ullozhukku had cinematography by Shehnad Jalal, who worked for Bramayugam (2024), and editing by Kiran Das. Sushin Shyam, who worked on the recent superhits Manjummel Boys and Aavesham, scored the music.

The film was produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Honey Trehan, and Abhishek Chaubey under the banners of RSVP and MacGuffin Pictures.
