The hilarious trailer for Mr & Mrs Bachelor showcased the lead actors, Indrajith Sukumaran and Anaswara Rajan, in a never-seen-before avatar.
The camaraderie and the comedy scenes between the lead actors hinted that the film would be a fun ride.
The Mr & Mrs Bachelor trailer featured Indrajith Sukumaran’s character and Anaswara Rajan’s character meeting at a point and going on a trip. Anaswara Rajan is featured as a bride and Indrajith Sukumarn as a bachelor.
Indrajith Sukumaran teamed up with Anaswara Rajan for the first time in Mr & Mrs Bachelor. The movie is directed by Deepu Karunakaran, who earlier helmed comedy flicks like Crazy Gopalan (2008) and Teja Bhai and Family (2011).
The other cast also includes Rahul Madhav, Deepu Karunakaran, Sohan Seenulal, and Biju Pappan in supporting roles.
Prakash Highline was producing it under the banner of Highline Pictures. The movie was scripted by Arjun T Sathyan, popular for the film Rakshadhikari Baiju Oppu (2017) headlined by Biju Menon.
Mr & Mrs Bachelor is expected to be a road trip film and a romantic comedy, on the lines of the Hindi film Jab We Met (2007), with the lead characters spending most of their time in a car.
The film will be released in theatres on 23 August along with Footage, Hunt, Paalum Pazhavum, and Bharathanatyam.
Indrajith Sukumaran was last seen in Marivillin Gopurangal (2024), which got mixed reviews. His upcoming film Kaalante Thankakudam was announced recently and it is expected to be a fantasy movie.
He will also be seen in Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial Empuraan and Jeethu Joseph’s RAM. Both these films have Mohanlal in the lead role.
On the other hand, Anaswara Rajan made the world sit and notice her with her spellbinding performance in Neru (2023), a blockbuster hit starring Mohanlal as an advocate.
Her recent films Abraham Ozler (2024) and Guruvayoor Ambala Nadayil (2024) also did well in the theatres. They are now streaming on the OTT platforms.
