Jerome Flynn joins Mohanlal's 'L2E: Empuraan'. (X)
Mohanlal’s next big venture, L2: Empuraan, is one of the most anticipated projects, with its prequel Lucifer being a mega-hit and shattering the collection figures big time.
The actor-turned-director Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial was produced by Aashirwad Productions and helmed by Antony Perumbavoor, a close associate of Mohanlal.
The makers have been releasing the details of the cast of the movie in the run-up to the release of the film on 27 March.
On Sunday, the makers revealed that English actor Jerome Flynn popular as Bronn from HBO’s Game of Thrones, will join the cast of L2: Empuraan. He is set to play the character named Boris Oliver.
Sharing the character poster, Prithviraj wrote: “Character No.07 Jerome Flynn as Boris Oliver in #L2E #EMPURAAN.”

In the small video clip released alongside the poster, Jerome Flynn speaking of how he was roped in said, “I can’t quite remember how I got roped into this job, but I’m glad I did.”
“It was a completely different experience than I was used to in the UK or the US. To get a taste of Mollywood culture, and to be a part of that was really special, and it was extra special for me because India was an important part of my journey. I used to spend a lot of time here in my 20s and early 30s, for spiritual retreat. The whole experience of being in India changed my life forever.”
Jerome Flynn further added, “So, doing this job felt rather like coming home. The vibe on the set— even though we never went to India— was like being right in Delhi. There was this kind of beautifully orchestrated chaos.”

The film also has Manju Warrier, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and others in lead roles. L2: Empuraan is touted to be an action entertainer.
The shooting of L2: Empuraan started in October 2023. Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions are jointly producing it.
It will be simultaneously released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
