Asif Ali's Rekhachitram first look out

Asif Ali’s upcoming movie with filmmaker Jofin T Chacko has been titled Rekhachitram. On Sunday, 11 August, the makers announced the film’s title and also launched the first look.

The first-look poster of Rekhachitram comes with the tagline: “An Alternate History”, and features Asif Ali as a police officer and Anaswara Rajan as a nun. Interestingly, she is presented in monochrome, giving the impression that she could be the “history” mentioned in the tagline.

Jofin T Chacko made his debut with Mammootty’s The Priest (2021), a horror thriller.

The upcoming Malayalam film boasts an ensemble cast, including Manoj K Jayan, Siddique, Indrans, Zarin Shihab, Bhama Arun, Megha Thomas, Nishanth Sagar, Harisree Ashokan, and Sreekanth Murali.

It was written by John Manthrikal and is based on a story penned by Jofin and Ramu Sunil.

On the technical front, Rekhachitram features cinematography by Appu Prabhakar and editing by Shameer Muhammed.

Venu Kunnappilly’s Kavya Film Company and Anto Joseph’s Ann Mega Media are jointly producing the film. The shooting was recently completed.

At the film’s launch, Asif Ali told the media that it was the biggest in his career. He also stated that it was supposed to begin earlier but was delayed due to some reason.
