Abhyanthara Kuttavali shooting commences

The shooting of Asif Ali’s Abhyanthara Kuttavali has commenced at Triprayar in Thrissur. The movie is written and directed by debutant Sethunath Padmakumar.

The film started rolling soon after a pooja ceremony on Monday, 5 August. The team kept it a low-key affair due to the landslides.

Abhyanthara Kuttavali director Sethunath Padmakumar took to Instagram to share the news about the film’s shooting. He wrote: “Dear all, this is my first venture as a writer and director. Happy to inform everyone that the shooting of Abhyanthara Kuttavali has started today. Asif Ali is the hero. Expecting your prayers and love..”

Abhyanthara Kuttavali also marks the debut of Thulasi as the female lead. It casts Jagadeesh, Harisree Ashokan, Prem Kumar, Sidharth Bharathan, Azeez Nedumangad, Vijayakumar, Balachandran Chullikkad, Anand Manmadhan, Prem Nath, Shreya Rukmini, Neeraja Rajendran, Rini Udayakumar, and Sreeja Das in key roles.

Earlier this year, while announcing the film, the makers released a title poster in the form of a wedding card that read: “Sahadevan weds Nayana on June 1, 2024.”

The poster also featured wedding props, handcuffs, and a police station in the background. The title poster piqued the curiosity among film enthusiasts about the project.

Ajay David Kachappilly is cranking the camera for Abhyanthara Kuttavali, while Sobin K Soman is handling editing. The music will be composed by Bijibal.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Asif Ali recently scored a hit with Level Cross. He starred alongside Amala Paul and Sharaf U Dheen in the film.

His Adios Amigo with Suraj Venjaramoodu will be released on 9 August. It is directed by debutant Nahaz Nazar.

His upcoming ventures include Thalavan 2, a sequel to his latest super hit film Thalavan. Asif Ali shared the screen with Biju Menon in this Jis Joy directorial. He is also part of Rohit VS’s Tiki Taka, Jofin T Chacko‘s untitled film, and Thamar KV‘s next, among others.
