Asif Ali's next is with Thalavan associate director Farhan

Malayalam actor Asif Ali is teaming up with debutant Farhan, who worked as an associate director for Jis Joy’s Thalavan. The upcoming movie will be produced under the banner of Real Life Entertainments.

The untitled film is expected to be a dark humour. The shooting will begin in November after Asif Ali wraps up his other projects.

The flick will also cast Jagadeesh, Sajin Gopu, and Chandu Salim Kumar in prominent roles. Safar Sanal and Ramesh Girija penned the script.

More details about the cast and crew will be announced shortly.

Interstingly, Asif Ali and Biju Menon played the lead roles in Thalavan. The crime drama is running successfully in theatres. For the first time in the actor’s 15-year-long career, Asif’s parents watched his film (Thalavan) on the opening day along with him.

The Malayalam actor recently announced his new venture with director Thamar KV. It is touted to be a feel-good entertainer. However, other details about the film are awaited.

Thamar has been working in the advertising industry in Dubai for over a decade. He ventured into the Malayalam film industry with Aayirathonnu Nunakal (1001 Lies). The movie was released directly on SonyLIV in 2023.

Asif is currently shooting for Jofin T Chacko‘s forthcoming movie. This is Chacko’s second project after his debut—The Priest (2021). The yet-to-be-titled venture is produced by Venu Kunnappilly’s Kavya Film Company and Anto Joseph’s Ann Mega Media.

Asif Ali is also part of Rohit VS’s Tiki Taka, Sethu Nath Padmakumar’s Abhyanthara Kuttavali and Arfaz Ayub’s Level Cross (slated for release on 26 July).

Adios Amigo is another much-anticipated film of the actor. It also stars Suraj Venjaramoodu in a pivotal role. The movie is scheduled to hit the theatres on 15 August. Adios Amigo marks the debut of director Nahaz Nazar.
