First look of Aju Varghese's 'Padakkuthira' out. (Facebook)
The first-look poster of Malayalam actor Aju Varghese’s Padakkuthira is out. The film was launched recently at an official pooja ceremony in Kochi.
The regular shooting will begin soon. The movie is directed by debutant Salon Symon and jointly scripted by Deepu S Nair and Sandeep Sadanadan.
The Padakkuthira first look features a fountain pen with a blood-stained nib. It carries the tagline, “Pen is mightier than sword”.
Padakkuthira also casts Siddique, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Sija Rose, Indrans, Nandu Lal, Akhil Kavalayoor, Joemon Jyothir, Shameer, Dileep Menon, Kottayam Ramesh, Sminu Sijo, and Shaheen Siddique in prominent roles.
On the technical front, Jilu Sunny is the cinematographer and Greyson ACA is the editor. The makers roped in Dhanush Harikumar and Vimaljith Vijayan as the music directors.
Padakkuthira will be produced by Bini Sreejith, Manju I Sivanandan, and Sai Saravanan under the banners of Mabins Productions and Feel Flying Entertainments.
Meanwhile, Aju Varghese was last seen in Jeethu Joseph’s Nunakuzhi, headlined by Basil Joseph. He played a key role in the superhit film Gaganachari. Directed by Arun Chandu, the sci-fi mockumentary opened the doors to a new genre and a new form of entertainment in Malayalam cinema.
The actor will be seen in the web series Kerala Crime Files 2 and Love under Construction, headlined by Neeraj Madhav. He is playing a guest role in one of the shows.
Aju Varghese is also part of Tovino Thomas’s Ajayante Randam Moshanam and Identity, Sharaf U Dheen’s Hello Mummy and Arjun Ashokan’s Anand Sreebala besides debutant Vinesh Viswanath’s Sthanarthi Sreekuttan, Omar Lulu’s Bad Boys, and Rejis Antony’s Swargam. The first-look poster of Swargam was unveiled recently. It will also feature Johny Antony.
He is also making his Tamil debut with director Ram’s next venture. Further, he has been roped in for Prabhudheva and AR Rahman’s 25th film together—Moon Walk.
In an interview with South First, Aju Varghese said he wanted to explore different roles in non-Malayalam films too.
