Malayalam actor Vinod Thomas was found dead on Saturday, 19 November, inside a car parked near a bar. He was 47.
According to local reports, the cinema-serial actor reportedly reached the bar in Pampady in the Kottayam district of Kerala around 11 am on Saturday. His body was found by 8.30 pm. The police have conducted an inquest.
The police found Vinod inside his car after the security guard of the bar alerted them to it. The actor didn’t respond and the side window of his car was broken.
Local reports said that he was dead by the time he reached the hospital.
The police are yet to ascertain the reason behind Vinod Thomas’ death. It is suspected that the cause of his death could be inhalation of the gas emitted from the AC duct of the car.
The police said that the actual cause of death could be confirmed only after a post-mortem examination.
Vinod Thomas acted in several Malayalam movies, including Ayyappanum Koshiyum, Natholi Oru Cheriya Meenalla, June, and Happy Wedding.
