Malayalam actor Arundhati Nair critical

Malayalam actor Arundhathi Nair met with a road accident on 14 March and has been in critical condition ever since. She is on ventilator support.

Arundhati was travelling on a bike along with her brother when they were hit by a car near the Chennai Kovalam Bypass in Thiruvananthapuram. The actor suffered severe head injuries and is undergoing treatment.

As her condition continues to be critical, Arundhati Nair’s family has sought financial help.

Her sister Arathy Nair, in an Instagram reel, requested Arundhati’s fans to help them in these difficult times.

“I’m sharing this video only to help with comprehension and explanation. We have opened a current account for anyone who would truly like to contribute to her medical expenses. I’ve included the information here. And I hope u all understand our situation and I want you all to kindly pray for her recovery.” Arathy said in the Insta post.

However, the family received many calls on the GPay number shared on the fundraising page. The callers asked for details about Arundhati’s health condition.

In response, Arundhati’s actor-friend Remyaa Joseph requested people not to call the GPay number.

“Please stop calling the G-Pay number given on the fundraising page, asking for more details about actor Arundhati Nair who met with an accident four days ago in Trivandrum and is in a critical condition (sic),” Remyaa said in an Instagram reel.

The actor also shared an update about Arundhati Nair’s health condition: “Her ribs are broken, there’s a fracture in her neck bone, her spleen is damaged and there are blood clots, too.”

The fundraising page has been taken off social media platforms.

Arundhati Nair debuted in Tamil in 2014 with Pongi Ezhu Manohara. She became popular with Vijay Antony’s Saithan (2016).

Later, Arundhati acted in the Malayalam movie Ottakoru Kaamukan (2018). Her last movie was in Tamil — Aayiram Porakaasukal (2023).
