Director Mahesh Narayanan, who is currently shooting the multi starrer Patriot, with Mohanlal, and Mammootty, is set to embark on a yet another high stakes project.
According to a report by Variety, the director is set to direct his first Tamil language film, chronicling the extraordinary journey of Narain Karthikeyan, India’s first Formula One driver. It is tentatively being referred to as NK 370.
The project, currently in development at India’s Blue Marble Films, will be produced by Faraz Ahsan, Vivek Rangachari, and Pratik Maitra, with Amish Shah and Nilaanjan Reeta Datta as associate producers. The screenplay is by Shalini Usha Devi, known for the National Award winning Soorarai Pottru.

Hailing from Tamil Nadu, Narain began his racing journey in 1993 and competed across multiple formats of the sport. A key milestone came in 2005 when he made Formula 1 debut with the Jordan team. He also became the first Indian to score F1 World Championship points at the U.S. Grand Prix and later joined Williams F1 as a test driver.
