Lavanya Tripathi's latest web series 'Miss Perfect' directed by Vishvak Khanderao is live on Disney Plus Hotstar from 2 February.

,Miss Perfect is a Telugu romantic comedy series on Disney+ Hotstar. The series stars Lavanya Tripathi and Abhijeet, big-boss fame. Following her wedding with Varun Tej, Lavanya is back on the screen this time with a web series.
The story is about a management consultant named Lavanya who is obsessed with cleanliness. As the maid falls ill, Lavanya’s obsession with cleanliness leads her to be mistaken for a maid.
“Before delving into the performances, it’s essential to talk about the script that seamlessly weaves together elements of romance and comedy. The script’s unique blend is so refreshing from the usual comedy tropes. Its diverse characters add depth to the narrative,” says Lavanya Tripathi while speaking to reporters in Hyderabad.
Miss Perfect web series is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda under the Annapurna Studios banner. Directed by Vishvak Khanderao. Miss Perfect is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from Friday, 2 February.
On this occasion, heroine Lavanya Tripathi shared her insights about the series in an interview with print and web media journalists.
Asked about the roles Lavanya plays, as Miss Lavanya and Lakshmi in the web series, the actor explains, “Miss Lavanya is a perfectionist who navigates the challenges that come with the relentless pursuit of flawlessness in every aspect of her life. The characters of Miss Lavanya and Lakshmi are rich in emotion.”
She added, “Miss Perfect is no regular comedy. There are different characters. So wanting to be perfect in every work brings some difficulties. These characters have all the emotions. As an actor, I want to do different roles. In that order, I got a chance to act in Miss Perfect.”
Lavanya said she could relate the character that she is portraying in the web series to her real life. “Characters Miss Lavanya and Lakshmi are close to my personal life.”
She further adds, “I can relate to these characters quite a lot in real life. I am like Lakshmi when I am at home. I want certain perfection of Lavanya’s character on the sets, and take too many seconds. There is no big difference between movies and web series.”
“The felt as if I was shooting a movie during Miss Perfect schedule. But here I completed the 30-day shoot. For a film, you have to work for a year,” she adds.
Lavanya Tripathi revealed that her career remains unchanged post-marriage after tying the knot with Varun Tej last year.
She expressed gratitude for the freedom she enjoys in making career decisions. She said that there hasn’t been any interference from her in-laws (mega family) regarding her professional choices.

She admitted that Varun Teja was supportive in nature. She described him as an understanding life partner.
The Tholi Prema actor adds, “Having an understanding life partner like Varun is a gift. No difference in the way others (mega family) see us. We are the same as before. Stepping into a mega family was a great feeling.”
“Varun watched the Miss Perfect and he liked my work. He also posted on Instagram. Varun and I will go ahead with our professional work. He is not involved in my projects. He listens whenever I tell him about the script I have selected,” she laughs.
Acting in web series was never a challenge for Lavanya Tripathi as she claims that Miss Perfect gave her a refreshing experience.
“Acting in Miss Perfect series did not feel challenging anywhere. Moreover, it is very refreshing. I have done another thriller after the Puli Meka web series. I acted in a dark thriller in Tamil. After such action and thrillers, it seemed very easy to do a rom-com. The only difficulty was catching the lines. I have always been selective in my choice of films,” the actor says.
Vishvak Khanderao directed Miss Perfect, which premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on 2 February. Khanderao is also known for directing the comedy-drama Skylab in 2021.
