The father-daughter duo Kamal Haasan and Shruti Haasan teamed up for Inimel, a music video that marked the acting debut of ace Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj.

The music video became a super hit and won critical reviews for its content, Shruti-Lokesh’s onscreen chemistry, and other technical aspects.

The makers of Inimel have now unveiled the behind-the-scenes video titled “Legacy of Love”.

According to the makers, the video intended to capture the “jamming journey” of Inimel.

Interestingly, in the “Legacy of Love” video, Kamal Haasan and his actor-musician daughter Shruti had a freewheeling chat with each other about several topics.

During the conversation, the father-daughter duo shared some candid moments from one another’s life.

About Inimel, which Shruthi Haasan described as a circular love story, Kamal Haasan said love stories have been there for more than 2,000 years.

He also referred to Silappatikaram, the earliest Hindu-Jain Tamil semi-legendary epic, a tragic love story of an ordinary couple — Kannaki and her husband Kovalan.

Shruthi posed some random questions to Kamal, particularly about his being a parent.

When asked if he ever missed his daughters, the veteran actor said he thinks of them whenever he sees a small kid. Then, Shruthi Haasan wittingly asked if he ever thought his daughters should always have been kids.

When Kamal said he could not stop laughing at Shruthi when she got angry, Shruthi wondered when was the last time she got so angry.

Later, Shruti Haasan revealed that she learnt several lessons from her father over these years, particularly in the field of acting.

In all, the rapport between Kamal and Shruti was evident in the 20-minute-50-second-long “Legacy of Love” video, which is now trending on YouTube and social media.
