Meanwhile, at a press conference held as part of the Inimel music video launch in Chennai on Monday, 25 March, Lokesh Kanagaraj said Raaj Kamal Films International was his home.
“I could not deny when they approached me. I accepted their project for three reasons — First, it was just a three-day shoot. Second is Kamal Sir and third is Shruti Hassan and her team,” he revealed.
Lokesh also stated that he was always open to learning. “As far as my music knowledge is concerned, you have been watching my movies, I use retro songs more. While shooting Inimel, Shruti contributed 40-50 songs more to my playlist.”
The filmmaker said he would continue directing films. “Shooting for Inimel was brief. It didn’t hinder my direction projects. I am working on Thalaivar171. The shooting will begin in June,” Lokesh clarified.
Shruti Haasan thanked Raaj Kamal Films International for backing Inimel. “Independent music needs to grow at least by 20 percent every year, given that film music is a monster in India.”
The actor felt that she should have done a music video before but work commitments made it wait this long.
Inimel marks the acting debut of Lokesh Kanagaraj. However, fans and netizens are in awe of his acting skills in the music video.
