Grrr gets U, to release on 14 June

Kunchako Boban-Suraj Venjaramoodu’s upcoming movie, Grrr, has been given the ‘U’ certificate by the censor board.

Touted to be a comedy entertainer, the film is making quite a buzz on social media.

In the hilarious teaser of Grrr, released in May, Kunchako Boban’s character jumps into the den of a lion named Darshan at the Zoo in Trivandrum.

Suraj’s character tries to infuse some sense into the former by yelling, “It’s a lion’s den, not a bird’s nest!”

Going by the teaser, Grrr promises unlimited fun to the audience.

It is directed by Jay K, who earlier debuted in the Malayalam industry in 2017 with the horror movie Ezra, a huge box-office success.

On 5 June, the makers released the BTS video of Grrr, which featured the lion having fun while being trained on the sets.

The BTS video also showcased the efforts put in by the team in filming the risky shot of Kunchako jumping into the lion’s den.

Grrr to be released on 14 June

With Grrr getting a clean “U” certificate from the censor board, the makers are gearing up for its release on 14 June.

Suraj Venjaramoodu and Kunchako Boban’s combination has a good potential to entertain the audience.

The duo earlier worked together for Varnyathil Aasanka (2007) and Pullipulikalum Aatinkuttiyum (2014), both comedy entertainers. As a result, expectations are running high for Grrr.

The Malayalam movie was scripted by Jay K and Praveen S.

It was produced by Shaji Nadesan and Arya under the banner of Cinemas, in association with Cineholix.

The cinematography was handled by Jayesh Nair and the editing by Vivek Harshan.

The music and background score were composed by Dawn Vincent, Kailas Menon, and Tony Tars.

The lyrics were penned by Manu Manjith.

Director Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval was the production designer.

Meanwhile, Kunchacko will next be seen along with Fahadh Faasil in Amal Neerad’s untitled film. The makers unveiled the first-look posters of the actors on Saturday, 8 June.
