Suriya’s upcoming project

Karthik Subbaraj, whose latest outing was Jigarthanda DoubleX (2023), will co-produce Suriya 44 through his production house, Stone Bench Films, in collaboration with the actor’s 2D Entertainment.

Further, Suriya eagerly anticipates the release of Kanguva, helmed by Siva. The film encompasses both historical and contemporary segments.

While Kanguva is slated for a 3D release in 10 languages, the release date is yet to be disclosed by the production team.

Director Siva revealed that he developed the Kanguva script four years ago.

He expressed appreciation for Suriya’s enthusiasm for the project, along with the producer Gnavavel Raja’s support.

“Suriya’s commitment to the role was evident, as his transformation for the character demanded considerable physical effort,” Siva was quoted as saying.

Known for directing films like Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe (2021) and Ajith Kumar’s Viswasam (2019), Kanguva, marks the first time collaboration of Siva with Suriya.

Studio Green, in partnership with UV Creations, is co-producing Kanguva.

The film features the tagline ‘A mighty valiant saga,’ depicting the story of a man endowed, with the power of fire.

Siva’s Tamil debut was with Siruthai (2011), headlined by Suriya’s brother Karthi.
