Geetu Mohandas, who directed the critically acclaimed Malayalam film Moothon (2019) with Nivin Pauly and Roshan Mathew, is at the helm of this project. Her first film was Liar’s Dice (2013), which featured Geetanjali Thapa and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Venkat K Narayana’s KVN Productions and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations are jointly producing it.

The visual effects will be managed by BAFTA-winning VFX studio DNEG, renowned for their work on Dune: Part Two.

Meanwhile, Toxic is also being shot in both Kannada and English.

While it is common for South Indian films, especially the “Pan India” ones to be shot in multiple Indian languages, this film, however, is being shot in Kannada and English. Toxic will then be dubbed into multiple Indian languages.
