A day after unveiling Amitabh Bachchan’s poster from their highly anticipated film Kalki 2898 AD, the makers revealed a new poster featuring Deepika Padukone.
In addition to the Piku (2015) actor, the Prabhas-starrer, directed by Nag Ashwin, features a star-studded cast including Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Rajendra Prasad, Saswata Chatterjee, Pasupathy and Mrunal Thakur, so on.
The latest poster shows Deepika Padukone dressed in a black outfit resembling jute, with disheveled hair and an intense expression.
The Bollywood actor’s partner and her biggest cheerleader, actor Ranveer Singh, was among those who commented on the newly released poster.
He wrote, “Boom. Stunner.”

Deepika Padukone had expressed her excitement, stating she was “extremely thrilled” to join Kalki 2898 AD, a couple of years ago.
The makers indicated that her character would be unprecedented, noting that “no mainstream actor has attempted a role like this before.”

In an interview, Prabhas discussed his experience working with Deepika Padukone, admiring her as “the ultimate superstar” and “the most stunning woman.”
The actor was quoted as saying, “She is the biggest superstar, the most beautiful lady, and she is already globally famous. She brings such vibrancy to the set, and I have always admired her. Working with Deepika for the first time has been a great experience.”
Filmmaker Nag Ashwin provided insights into Deepika’s role in the film, stating, “We have yet to fully reveal Deepika’s character, and once we do, the significance of her casting will become clear. Her character is pivotal.”
After several delays, Kalki 2898 AD, produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, is scheduled to be released in theaters on 27 June.
Prabhas will portray a character named Bhairava; rumoured to be a contemporary representation of Lord Vishnu.

Amitabh Bachchan’s character depicts him as Ashwatthama, a warrior enduring across ages.
The first glimpse of Kalki 2898 AD debuted at the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con. Details about Kamal Haasan’s character have not been disclosed by the makers, yet. The trailer of Kalki 2898 AD will be unveiled on 10 June.
From what has been revealed so far, it’s evident that the film is heavily inspired by Star Wars (1977) and Dune (2021). Santhosh Narayanan is composing the music for Kalki 2898 AD.
