Vishva Karthikeya will next be seen in Kaliyugam Pattanamlo

After playing a protagonist in Kalaposhakulu (2021), Jai Sena (2021), and Allantha Doorana (2023), young-upcoming actor Vishva Karthikeya bets big on his coming crime thriller Kaliyugam Pattanamlo.

“While Kalaposhakulu was purely a comedy entertainer, Allantha Doorana had shades of melodrama, and Jai Sena was distinctly a commercial venture. However, my present film Kaliyugam Pattanamlo tackles a fresh and innovative concept,” Vishva Kathikeya told the media on Tuesday, 26 March.

The actor revealed that besides having thrills and suspenseful elements, the movie has a mother sentiment. “Every two to three scenes, a new genre unfolds in the story. It caters to diverse audiences. This project truly stands out in my film career,” he said.

Kaliyugam Pattanamlo is produced jointly by Dr Kandula Chandra Obul Reddy, G Maheswara Reddy, and Kattam Ramesh under the banners of Nani Movie Works and Raamaa Creations.

Aayushi Patel plays the love interest of Vishva Karthikeya. Ramakhanth Reddy is the director, producer, screenplay and dialogue writer.

Vishva elaborated on the story. “Every person possesses a myriad of facets, and this film portrays them. Set in the backdrop of Nandyala town, the movie is aptly titled Kaliyugam Pattanamlo because it digs into the intricacies of human nature,” he said.

He says Kaliyugam Pattanamlo conveys a message to society on how improper parenting would impact society.

“The film underscores parents’ role in shaping the future of children. It was shot in some picturesque locations in Kadapa. We didn’t erect any sets. We are happy that Annapurna Studios is releasing our film. We are satisfied with how the movie came out,” Vishva Karthikeya explained.

The movie aims to depict contemporary society and sheds light on the consequences of wrong parenting. It tries to showcase the repercussions of the wrong upbringing of children.

“Additionally, the crime scenes will be portrayed with a fresh perspective, capturing the essence of the present-day scenario,” the actor added.

In Kaliyugam Pattanamlo, Vishva Karthikeya’s character carries a fresh perspective. Extensive workshops were conducted to develop the characters and meticulously hone each aspect of expressions. From portraying anger to expressing anxiety, the actors were trained well in the workshops.

When asked about director Ramakhanth Reddy, Vishva Karthikeya said he was initially sceptical about the story. However, his perspective shifted upon hearing the entire narrative.

“Ramakhanth Reddy garu is a good storyteller, the screenplay left me surprised. Until the climax, I found the story entertaining and could not decode the unfolding events. He prepared a comprehensive storyboard in advance. That’s when I started believing his vision. Later, I followed his instructions without hesitation on the sets,” the actor added.

Kaliyugam Pattanamlo will hit the screens on Friday, 29 March.
