The actor, who shared the screen space with Mammootty in Joshiy's 'Kauravar', will reportedly be seen as Dulquer's mother in 'King of Kotha'.
Even as Dulquer Salmaan fans are eagerly awaiting the release of King of Kotha on 24 August, the new updates of the movie are creating a buzz on social media.
Recently, several actors, including Shammy Thilakan and Gokul Suresh, shared their experiences working with Dulquer in King of Kotha.
And now, Shanthi Krishna, who plays Dulquer’s mother in the film, is going viral on social media.
The senior actress earlier shared the screen space with Mammootty in Kauravar (1992) directed by Joshiy. Interestingly, Joshiy’s son Abhilash Joshiy is now debuting as a director with Dulquer’s King of Kotha.
“I am working with the second-generation technicians now. I did Kauravar with Joshiy sir and Mammooka (Mammootty). Thilakan Chetan (actor Thilakan) too was part of it. Now, in King of Kotha, I worked with Shammi Thilakan (Thilakan’s son), Abhilash Joshiy, and Dulquer Salmaan,” Shanti Krishna remarked.
The actress further added, “Dulquer Salmaan is everyone’s sweetheart and mine too. King of Kotha is a full-length Dulquer film. Though I did a small role, I was pretty excited to share the screen with Dulquer for the first time. It gave me a lot of pleasure as an actress to be part of this film.”
King of Kotha is the most anticipated film in Dulquer’s career. Its teaser and lyrical video were received well by the audience. The makers will release the trailer soon.
According to Dulquer, the makers shot the climax portions for the second time.
Produced by Zee Studios and Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films, King of Kotha also stars Shabir Kallarakkal, Prasanna, Chemban Vinod, Shammi Thilakan, Gokul Suresh, Vadachennai Sharan, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Naila Usha, Shanti Krishna, Anikha Surendran in prominent roles.
