Dhruva Sarja darshan

On the day of the protest held by the Kannada film industry over the Cauvery River water dispute, it was evident that all was not well between “Challenging Star” Darshan and “Action Prince” Dhruva Sarja.

It all started when Dhruva Sarja didn’t see eye to eye with Darshan, though the star actors shared the stage at the protest called by the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC). It was attended by the who’s who of Sandalwood, including Dr Shivarajkumar.

Soon after the videos from the protest where Dhruva Sarja was seen sitting at an arm’s distance with a straight face from Darshan went viral, speculations were rife that there was something not right between the two.

Meanwhile, a Kannada actor came forward to share that Dhruva Sarja was in a sad mood on the day of the protest after hearing the terrible news of one of his die-hard fans passing away in a tragic road mishap recently.

‘Have questions for him’

However, Dhruva himself has clarified the whole episode.

Speaking to the media at his birthday gala arranged by his fans on 6 October, Dhruva said, “Though it is an irrelevant topic to be discussed on the day of my birthday, I am clarifying it since you (media) are asking about it. I always respect Darshan sir as a senior not just in his presence but even during his absence. However, I have a couple of questions for him to answer.”

The actor also made it clear that he was not someone who would simply pretend that everything was fine.

“There is no need for me to put up an act in front of others to please them while I have few unanswered questions. I’m not an artificial personality. I do not know whether I will get the answers to my questions but I cannot pretend. And, that’s private between us,” Dhruva Sarja added.

‘Stop spreading hatred’

“Everyone has self-respect, including me. There is no doubt that we all respect Darshan sir immensely as a senior and it will always remain the same way. In fact, he has even lent his voice to one of my films to which I am forever indebted to him. But I cannot put up an act. That is not me,” the actor explained.

He also expressed dismay over a few social media users on the occasion.

“I have also noticed that a few people are spreading hatred between us since the day of the protest through fake accounts on social media platforms. My humble request to all of them is to stop doing it. If they cannot stop and continue to do so, my only request is not to get caught by me,” Dhruva Sarja warned.

Birthday celebrations

On the occasion of Dhruva’s birthday, his elder brother the late Chiranjeevi Sarja’s film Rajamarthanda was released.

“I urge the Kannada audience to take some time to watch my brother’s film. It is also special that I celebrate my birthday with my little ones at home and amongst my fans after three years. I cannot repay their love and affection,” he signed off.
