Vijay Deverakonda’s recent outing, The Family Star, has proved to be a dud at the box office.
Having been released with massive expectations, the film couldn’t sail through because of its poor screenplay and treatment.
The Vijay Deverakonda-Parasuram combination had lofty expectations because of their previous hit venture Geetha Govindam, which was a superhit in 2018. However, the magic faded this time.
Dil Raju produced The Family Star. The film stars Mrunal Thakur as the leading lady.
The movie couldn’t cash in on the opportunity of the festive mood. It will soon debut on Amazon Prime Video.

The theatrical business of the movie was put at ₹41.2 crore.
The Family Star has to earn a share of ₹41.5 crore to break even. At the end of 10 days, the Vijay Deverakonda-starrer earned a share of ₹16.98 crore. A share of ₹24.52 crore is yet to be collected to reach the breakeven mark.
