Hanu-Man Trailer

The makers of the upcoming Telugu movie Hanu-Man, starring Teja Sajja, unveiled the trailer on Tuesday, 19 December. The trailer was also launched in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi languages.

Touted to be a visual wonder, Prasanth Varma’s directorial started trending on social media with hashtags #HanumanTrailer, #JaiShriRam, and #JaiHanuman.

Though the film boasts big on the visual effects, particularly the shot that shows the mighty statue of Lord Hanuman amidst the hills and the river, its trailer hints at two different timelines — the mythology apart from the Hindu texts and the modern-day world.

Claimed to be Prasanth Varma’s Cinematic Universe, Hanu-Man is inspired by the Itihasas Of Akhand Bharat. The very first frame shows the fantasy universe named “Anjanadri”.

The underwater sequence shows the protagonist going close to a pearl shell shining like a star with a pleasant voice in the background chanting: “Yatho Dharma Thahto Hanuma… Yatho Hanuma Thatho Jaya… (Where there is righteousness, there is Hanuman, and where there is Hanuman there is victory).”

The world of “Anjanadri” has a Hanuman hill with a huge Hanuman statue amidst a picturesque forest.

The main character transforms into a superhero, sprinting alongside a cheetah, effortlessly lifting a hill, and defeating adversaries within his tribe.

Hanu-Man is produced by K Niranjan Reddy and will hit the screens worldwide in five languages on 12 January.

Prasanth Varma, a brilliant storyteller who made his mark in the industry with Awe, is looking for a proper break after Kalki (2019).

The portrayal of the world of “Anjanadri” in the trailer looks captivating to audiences.

Teja Sajja seems to have found the nick in getting into the protagonist’s shoes — an underdog turned superhero.

Vinay Rai is menacingly effective as the supervillain.
