Haal teaser out: Makers recreate Ustad Mehdi Hassan’s ‘Rafta Rafta Woh Meri’

Besides playing the lead alongside Sakshi Vaidya in the film, Shane Nigam lent his voice to the song written by Tasleem Fazli.

The makers of Shane Nigam-starrer Haal dropped the teaser on Monday, 17 June. In the teaser, the makers recreated renowned Ghazal singer Ustad Mehdi Hassan’s popular rendition, “Rafta Rafta Woh Meri“.

Interestingly, Shane Nigam lent his voice to the song, written by Tasleem Fazli.

Sharing the teaser on social media platforms, the makers revealed that Haal is a romantic musical entertainer.

Shane Nigam and Sakshi Vaidya are playing the lead roles in this Malayalam movie.

It is directed by Veera and written by Nishad Koya who had earlier done films such as Madhura Naranga (2015) and  Thoppil Joppan (2016).

JVJ Productions is bankrolling the project.

Haal is expected to be released simultaneously in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi.

Nandhagopan V composed and arranged the music for the film. Ravi K Chandran is the cinematographer.

Prasanth Madhav is the art director and Akash is the editor.

Earlier, renowned Pakistani singer Atif Aslam sang a song for Haal. Shane Nigam revealed the news on his Instagram page through a picture of him with Atif Aslam.

He stated that the recording of the song took place abroad, and a popular female singer also lent her voice to the song. This marks Atif Aslam’s return to Indian cinema after a long gap of about seven years.

Meanwhile, Shane Nigam’s latest release Little Hearts won a good response from the audience and critics. The movie featured the actor in a comedy role, along with Baburaj.

This year, Shane is debuting in Tamil with Madraskaaran. It is directed by Vaali Mohan Das, known for the romantic entertainer Rangoli (2023).

Telugu actor Niharika Kondinela is playing the female lead in Madraskaaran. Shane will appear as a youngster hailing from Madurai.

The team recently wrapped up the production work.

In 2023, Shane Nigam delivered a superhit with RDX, under the direction of Nahas Hidayath. The film entered the ₹100-crore club.

The actor’s film Bermuda, directed by TK Rajeev Kumar, hasn’t been released though the shooting was over some time ago.
