First-look poster of Aamir Pallikkal’s ‘ED-Extra Decent’ out

While Suraj’s character sports a wide smile, the others have a worrisome and dull look on their faces. This gives the impression that the film could be a comedy entertainer.

Suraj Venjaramoodu will be seen without a moustache in the film.

ED-Extra Decent also casts Rafi, Prashant Alexander, Shaju Sreedhar, Sajin Cherukayil, and Vineeth Thattil in pivotal roles.

It is produced under Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames and Suraj Venjaramoodu’s Vilasini Cinemas. The film marks the debut of the actor as a producer.

Grace Antony has proven her mettle in films like Kumbalangi Nights (2019), Thamaasha (2019), and Rorschach (2022).

Shyam Mohan became an overnight sensation with his role as Adhi in the blockbuster hit Premalu (2024) directed by Girish AD.

Ashif Kakkodi wrote the screenplay for the film. He earlier worked on Ayisha (2023) and Momo in Dubai (2023).

The shooting of ED-Extra Decent commenced recently in Mookambika and is currently progressing in Palakkad.

Sharon Sreenivas is the cinematographer. Ankit Menon, who worked for Guruvayoor Ambala Nadayil (2024), is the music director.

Sreejith Sarang is the editor. Sameera Saneesh is the costume designer. Ronex Xavier is heading the makeup department.

ED-Extra Decent is Aamir Pallikkal’s second film after Ayisha, which featured Maju Warrier portraying the role of Nilambur Ayisha (a veteran theater artist from Kerala).

The film gained popularity among moviegoers as ED.

Meanwhile, Suraj Venjaramoodu has a couple of movies awaiting release. The actor will next be seen in Nadanna Sambhavam, which is slated for release on 21 June. It also has Biju Menon in a pivotal role.

Adios Amigo, a comedy movie alongside Asif Ali under the direction of debutant Nahas Nazar, will hit the screens on 2 August.

Further, the actor is debuting in Tamil with Vikram’s upcoming film—tentatively titled Chiyaan 62. Directed by Chithha-fame SU Arunkumar, Chiyaan 62 also features actor-director SJ Suryah in the lead.

Suraj’s latest release—Grrr, which has Kunchacko Boban in the lead, is running successfully in theatres.
