Guntur Kaaram special shows and ticket prices

The Home Department of Telangana state has approved special shows of Superstar Mahesh Babu-starrer Guntur Kaaram. It has also increased the ticket prices for the film, which is releasing for Sankranthi.

This decision was taken on Tuesday, 9 January, following a request from the production house Sri Venkateswara Films and was supported by the Managing Director of the Telangana State Film Development Corporation Limited.

As per the approved order, a special sixth show at 4 am has been sanctioned and scheduled to run from 12 to 18 January across all theatres in the state.

Additionally, the ticket prices have been increased statewide by ₹65 for single-screen theatres and ₹100 for multiplex theatres.

Furthermore, the government approved a benefit show of Guntur Kaaram starting from 1 am on 12 January at specific theatres, including Nexus Mall in Kukatpally and AMB Cinemas in Gachibowli.

The Telangana state government also instructed all the district collectors, licensing authorities, and police commissioners to ensure necessary compliance with these permissions.

Following this, in an all-time record, the Prasads Multiplex Theatre in Hyderabad is holding 41 shows on the opening day.

Featuring Mahesh Babu and Sreelela in the lead, Guntur Kaaram also casts Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jagapathi Babu, and Brahmanandam in significant roles.

Thaman S scored the music for the movie.

Guntur Kaaram follows the story of the underworld king of Guntur city, who falls in love with a journalist working to expose the illegal activities in the city.

It is learnt that the makers made a deal worth ₹115 crore for the theatrical rights of the Mahesh Babu-starrer in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states.
