Following the success of his latest outing Bhagavanth Kesari (2023), Nandamuri Balakrishna has hopped on to the next movie — tentatively titled NBK109.
After scoring a blockbuster with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltiar Veerayya (2023) director Bobby is helming the upcoming action drama of Balakrishna.
The film was launched on 10 June with a formal puja ceremony, marking Balakrishna’s birthday.
Suryadevara Nagavanshi is producing this film under the banner of Sitara Entertainments.
Director Trivikram, too, joined hands to bankroll the film under his banner Fortune Four Cinemas.
It is learnt that the NBK109 went on the sets with the first schedule having a fight sequence.
The Balakrishna-Bobby film has the scope for a young hero. After much dilly-dallying between Dulquer Salmaan and Nani, the team reportedly chose Dulquer for a crucial role in the action drama.
Since the days of Venky Mama (2019), director Bobby has been making multi-starrer films. This year’s Waltair Veeraiya has Ravi Teja in the role of police officer.
However, it can be said that the Balakrishna–Dulquer Salmaan’s combination will be a fresh experience for the Telugu audience.
Meanwhile, fans are upbeat over the news that Dulquer is back in a straight Telugu film.
