Following news reports surfacing on her second marriage with a noted film producer, senior character artiste Pragathi Mahavadi expressed dissatisfaction over the news by terming it as “baseless”.
She vented her ire through an Instagram video as she questioned how a reputed vernacular media giant could publish such a baseless rumour without cross-checking the facts.
Following this, the online portal immediately took down the report and published an apology, which the actress accepted. She also posted the screenshots of the apology on her Instagram handle.
Pragathi is quite active on social media. Since the Covid-19 lockdowns, the artiste embarked on a new journey by taking fitness more seriously. She frequently posts her workout videos and reels on powerlifting.
The F3 actor has also been vocal against the casting couch.
In several interviews, she opened up about the ordeals she faced during the initial days of her career and how some producers and actors tried to take advantage of her situation in the industry.
Actor Vishwak Sen is one of the emerging talents in Tollywood. But whenever he gets carried by his emotions, he is in the news.
This time, the actor pinned his hopes on his upcoming action drama Gangs of Godavari the story of which is set in the Godavari districts.
The film is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments.
As big films like Nani’s Hi Nanna, Nithiin’s Extra Ordinary Man, and Varun Tej’s Operation Valintine are slated to arrive in theatres on 8 December, Naga Vamsi decided to hold back Gangs of Godavari and release it later.
However, Vishwak Sen seems to have gotten annoyed with the move.
He took to his Twitter handle and wrote: “Background lekapothe prathi na koduku mana game marudhham Anukuntadu. Nenu cinema chudakunda prathi frame pranam petti Pani chesi cheptunna! December 8th vasthunnam, hit, flop, super hit, utter flop, me decision. Aveshaniki ledha ego ki theeskune decision kadhu. Thagge Koddi mingutharu ani ardhamiandhi. December 8th sivalethipodhi. Gangamma thalli ki na ottu. Maha Khaali maatho undhi. If not December won’t see me in promotions anymore. #GoG (sic).”
(“If we have no background, everyone decides the terms for us. I gave my sweat and blood to the film. We are coming on 8 December. It’s for you to decide if it’s a hit, flop, superhit, or utter flop. It is not a decision made out of anger or ego. It is clear that if we take a step back, we will be at a loss. 8 December is the date. Gangamma thalli and Goddess Maha Kaali are with us.”)
Later, he deleted the tweet.
Gangs of Godavari is directed by Krishna Chaitanya. The film was shot in Eluru and other locations of the Godavari delta.
