Roshan Kanakala, the son of popular Television presenter Suma Kanakala and actor Rajeev Kanakala, is making his acting debut with the romantic drama Bubblegum.

The teaser of the film was unveiled by “Natural Star” Nani amidst much fanfare in Hyderabad at Saradhi Studios on Tuesday, 10 October.

Starring Roshan and Maanasa Choudhary in the lead, the romantic drama is directed by Ravikanth Perepu who earlier helmed Kshanam (2016) and Krishna and his Leela (2020).

Harsha Chemudu and Kiran G will appear in key roles.

Maheshwari Movies and People Media Factory are jointly producing the movie.

Ace director SS Rajamouli recently unveiled Bubblegum‘s poster. Soon after the launch, netizens compared the film with Vijay Deverakonda’s Arjun Reddy (2017).

The teaser of Bubblegum starts with a prologue where love is compared with bubblegum —  it tastes sweet initially but it sticks and is difficult to get rid of.

Producer Dil Raju’s father passes away

Tollywood actor Ram Charan on Tuesday, 10 October, called on Dil Raju following the demise of the latter’s father Shyam Sundar Reddy.

Reddy was 85. He had been suffering from age-related health problems for quite some time and breathed his last while undergoing treatment in a hospital in Hyderabad on Monday evening.

Industry friends of Dil Raju and his well-wishers expressed condolences to the family through social media.

Pawan Kalyan, among the other celebrities, expressed grief over the sudden death of Reddy through social media.

The final rites of Reddy were performed at Mahaprasthanam near Jubilee Hills in the evening.
