Popular Telugu anchor and artiste Suma Kanakala has apologised for the comments she made against film media personnel during an event organised in Hyderabad.

She was hosting an event related to the upcoming movie Aadikeshava starring Vaisshnav Tej and Sreeleela on Wednesday evening, 25 October.

Before kickstarting the event, Suma said, “Those who are enjoying the snacks like dinner, I request them to come to the fore with their cameras.”

The comments rubbed on the wrong side of the media fraternity. One of the reporters present at the press meet took objection to her comments.

Starring Vaisshnav and Sreeleela in the lead roles, Aadikeshava is scheduled to arrive in theatres on 10 November.

It also features Malayalam star Joju George and actress Aparna Das.

The movie is directed by Srikanth N Reddy and produced jointly by S Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.

Rana Daggubati in Megastar’s Vishwambhara

Megastar Chiranjeevi has kickstarted a new film project with Bimbisara (2022)-fame director Vashishta. The puja ceremony was held on the auspicious day of Dasara.

The film, titled Vishwambhara, is touted to be a socio-fantasy. The details of the technical experts working on this film have now come out.

While the female lead is yet to be zeroed in, it is learnt that Rana Daggubati is playing the antagonist in the movie. However, there is no official announcement about the development.

Meanwhile, Megastar fans kicked off a debate on social media asking how an actor like Rana would suit as a villain alongside Megastar Chiranjeevi.

Ravi Teja kickstarts high-budget flick

Even as his latest release Tiger Nageswara Rao (2023) nosedived at the box office, actor Ravi Teja launched another high-budget flick with Mythri Movie Makers.

The film was launched in style on Thursday, 26 October. Gopichand Malineni is the director. Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar are the producers.

Filmmaker-actor Selvaraghavan and Indhuja Ravichandran are playing crucial roles in the movie.

Anumol Sarma switched on the camera, while VV Vinayak gave a clap for the muhurat shot.

Veteran director K Raghavendra Rao directed the first shot, and Allu Aravind wrapped the proceedings by offering the script to the makers.

Music director S Thaman came on board for this Ravi Teja-starrer. It is learnt that Ravi Teja will undergo a complete makeover for the role.

Mahesh Babu at Venkatesh’s daughter’s engagement

The engagement pictures of Venkatesh Daggubati’s daughter Havya Vahini went viral on social media.

This low-key ceremony was held in Vijayawada where Venkatesh’s family and close friends from the Telugu film industry graced the event.

Superstar Mahesh Babu along with his wife Namrata Shirodkar attended the engagement ceremony and blessed the couple. A pic where Megastar Chiranjeevi is seen seated along with Mahesh Babu at the event also went viral.

The pics from the event are widely being shared on social media by fans — recalling the bonding between Venkatesh and Mahesh from their iconic movie Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2013).

On the work front, Venkatesh is gearing up for his action thriller titled Saindhav which is likely to hit the screens in January next year. It is directed by Sailesh Kolanu who also directed HIT: The First Case (2020).
