Mansoor Ali Khan’s comments about Trisha reek of perversion: Megastar Chiranjeevi

Even as actor Mansoor Ali Khan is defending his comments about actress Trisha on flimsy grounds, actors and film personalities from across industries have strongly condemned his remarks.

The latest celebrity to express his anguish against the actor-producer’s comments is Megastar Chiranjeevi, who termed the remarks ‘distasteful and disgusting’ and that they rake of perversion.

Taking to his social media account X, Chiranjeevi wrote: “My attention was drawn to some reprehensible comments made by actor Mansoor Ali Khan about Trisha. The comments are distasteful and disgusting not just for an Artiste but for any woman or girl. These comments must be condemned in the strongest words. They reek of perversion.”

He added, “I stand with Trisha and every woman who has to be subject to such horrid comments.”

Earlier, Telugu actor Nithiin took to his social media account to condemn Mansoor Ali Khan’s comments about Trisha. He termed the remarks “vile and vulgar”.

On her X account, senior actress Radikaa Sarathkumar stated that Mansoor Ali Khan’s comments were downright appalling. She even pointed out that such incidents, which she called “rubbish”, should not be neglected or brushed aside.

Actress-politician Roja Selvamani, while expressing her solidarity with Trisha, felt that strong legal action should be taken against anyone who makes comments like Mansoor Ali Khan against women. She even referred to herself and the actress and BJP leader Khushbu Sundar against whom such distasteful comments were made in the past.

She expressed concern that when empowered actresses and politicians were being targeted this way, one could imagine the plight of other women.

Khushbu Sundar, a member of the National Commission for Women, already put out a statement on X stating that she already took up the matter with the concerned and that action will be initiated soon.

Filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj said the comments were shameful on the part of Mansoor Ali Khan.

Leo director Lokesh Kanagaraj felt that it was disheartening and enraged. He also condemned Mansoor Ali khan’s comments in strong words.

Similarly, several celebs expressed their solidarity with Trisha and demanded action against Mansoor Ali Khan and male chauvinists like him.
